Jobs co-founded Apple with Steve Wozniak in 1976. The company's first computer, the Apple I, was hand-built by Wozniak and sold to Jobs for $500. The two Steves went on to develop the Apple II, which became one of the first successful personal computers.

In 1985, Jobs left Apple to start his own computer company, NeXT. However, the company struggled and was eventually acquired by Apple in 1997. Jobs returned to Apple as CEO and oversaw the development of the iMac, iPod, iPhone, and iPad, which helped make Apple one of the most successful and innovative companies in the world.

Jobs was known for his vision, creativity, and attention to detail. He was also known for his strict management style and demanding nature. Despite his success, he faced several challenges and setbacks in his career, including a battle with cancer and a leave of absence from Apple in 2009.  Jobs passed away on October 5, 2011, at the age of 56.
